June 26th both Jeremy and Kaory will graduate from High Tech High Media Arts.

They are currently finishing internships with their school:

            Jerm is recording an album with a fellow student. Jerm is playing several stringed instruments and engineering the album while his friend is writing and singing. Cool huh? (They may be playing a the House of Blues coffee Shop 6/23)

            Kaory is assessing, inventorying and maintaining the schools community organic garden. We eat some great veggies right now and she is learning tons. Cool huh?

June 27th their panic with what to do with their lives will grow to intense levels.

Here are their plans for now:

For the equivalent of their first semester in college (approx late August to early December 2010) they have a plan. The intent with this plan is to seek God, grow up a little more and just get close to the ONE they want to serve the rest of their lives.

For Jerm:

That will be a several month mission internship in South Africa under CRM’s Interchange division which responds to the poor of the world.

When he returns, he hopes to enter the local community college and pursue something associated to music.

For Kaory;

That will be a stint in a bible school in Kansas City, MO.

When she returns she would like to enter a University somewhere and pursue a four-year degree in whatever God has put on her heart.

For us:

It means a calmer house…two less teens and great time with Josh who will be a Junior in High Tech High Chula Vista.

But really what that means is an empty place in our hearts that both Kaory and Jerm have filled for 18 years.

It will be hard to let them go and grow. To not see them daily and in Jerm’s case not be able to even pick up the phone to see how he is doing.

It’s a step of faith for the entire Sheahan family. A big change. A good change. A hard change.

Summer: We really hope to make this summer count for our family – we have no idea what that means yet but we hope to find out. We do know that we have a 21/2 week conference with our mission. This occurs every 4 years and this is the 4th year. We will be going to Malaysia for the conference.
